Original collage painting (Japanese paper on stretched canvas with pigment) by "Master of Collage" Paul Horiuchi. This is a large work (48" by 42"), signed and dated "68" l.r., also titled ("Spring Awakening") on a typewritten label stapled to the artist-constructed stretcher. This work retains the original black slat frame which the artist often used. Paul Horiuchi was born in Japan in 1906. He is known as a member of the Northwest School: he settled in Seattle in 1946 and exhibited with the likes of Mark Tobey and Morris Graves. Please inquire.
