Dating from the mid 1960's, this is a stunning 3 strand faux pearl necklace with an elaborate gold tone pave and emerald & sapphire cabochon clasp.
The shortest strand--including the clasp--is 16" (41cm) long. The clasp is 1 1/4" (3.6cm) wide and the pearls are 10mm in diameter. The gilt metal clasp has pave rhinestones and deep blue and emerald green unfoiled cabochons. The pearl strands are hand knotted. The necklace is signed on the back of the clasp with the K.J.L. Laguna cartouche, one of the earliest marks.
There is a tiny bit of gold loss on the back where the tongue inserts into the clasp. Apart from that, it is in excellent vintage condition.
