This tureen holds 4 quarts of liquid. It was made by the Meridan Britannia Company in 1886-1887.

All of the plating is still original. There is however, a few spots where, as shown in my picture, there is some loss of silver. A magnificent addition to any silver collection. The collar is 7/8" in diameter and is wonderfully chased.

This tureen measures 9 1/2" tall x 13 1/2" long (including handles) x 9" wide.

The original quadruple silver plate has achieved a warm, soft patina with virtually no wear. There are no dents.

The inside of this silverplate tureen is in excellent condition as you can see by my picture.

The silver plate is much brighter than shown in the photo, which is due to the lights.

The high relief design is outstanding and crisp.

This Zeh Scherzer & Co. vase bears the portrait of Louise, Queen of Prussia ( March 10, 1776- July 19, 1810) She is admired for unflinching courage in which she bore the sufferings on her and her family during the war between Prussia and France. This vase is chocolate brown with a gold rim. It is 8" x 4". This vase is not hallmarked. This vase is circa 1880. There is what appears to be a hairline on the inside of the lip of the vase. This "hairline" does not seem to come through the procelain to the painted side. This vase is sold "as is as found".
