Striking Victorian bracelet of gutta percha and French jet. These two substances were used often in the late 1800's when dark jewelry became popular. French jet is black glass that is easily molded into beads and other shapes. Gutta percha is a latex substance from Malaysian trees used to make jewelry. The combination of the two adds shiny and matt finishes in addition to the geometric designs carved on the gutta percha pieces to make a stunning bracelet. The piece measures 7 1/4" long by 2 1/4" at it's widest.
