A good example of the remarkable talent behind the wonderful Austrian Bronze handmade, hand painted bronze miniature figurines, made in the late nineteenth century. Austrian bronzes are individually cast from sand molds used only once, then sculpted and cold painted by hand with several and secretive colors of enamel paints, known as "dust" paints. This resulted in very fine and realistic studies of the different models. This adorable miniature sculpture of a husband and wife Inuit couple with the baby on the mother's back, accompanied by their dog is simply adorable. The bronze is about 2 inches long and ½ inch deep.
