C1860 this lovely 15ct ring in the shape of what we call a classic Victorian five stone ring, has three citrines and four emeralds. The double emeralds flanking the central citrine are an unusual design, and the combination of the yellow and green stones is electric. The stones are housed in an ornate claw setting and the ring has elegant scrolled shoulders. Citrine is a type of clear yellow quartz, often a treated amethyst, which changes to a yellow color when heated. It appears the ring has been sized before as there is some evidence of lead soldering, but it is barely visible, and not at all visible when the ring is on. The ring is a size 7 ½ and can be resized.
