A Victorian 18K chain with classic anchor links, the anchor link chain with its nautical motif is a symbol of strength and robustness. Nautical link chains became popular during the late Victorian sporting craze, when the benefits of the outdoors and physical exercise were first popularized. The name of this chain design stems from its resemblance to a ship’s chain holding the anchor. The modern Gucci link chain copied this style chain. The last image shows our 3 mariner chains together, all available on First Dibs. The chain fastens with a spring ring clasp, weighs 14 grams and is 18.5 inches long.
