This wonderful 950 silver (higher quality than sterling) necklace by Eduardo Herrera calls two mind two very different images. It looks like coral as well as the cut out designs of Henri Matisse. The links are hammered. They are 1 1/2" wide at the front and 5/8" at the back.The necklace has exactly the right amount of flexibility to make it very comfortable to wear. It is approximately 18 1/2" long; the natural curve of the necklace makes it difficult to measure precisely.

This extraordinary necklace was made by Mexican architect turned jeweler, Eduardo Herrera. It is made of oxidized 950 silver (higher quality than sterling) and tumbaga. Tumbaga is a pre-Colombian technique used in Mesoamerica and South America to create an alloy of gold with copper. The combination of tumbaga with the blackened silver could not be more striking. The bracelet measures 7 1/2" long and 1 9/16" wide. Violante learned silversmithing growing up on the Spratling ranch. The influence of Spratling's work is clear in her designs and choice of materials, giving them a contemporary twist.
Jewelry designer Biba Schutz titled this sterling silver and gold brooch "Sliced". Schutz beautifully combines space, color and texture in her work. This pin was made in 2001. It measures 2 1/4" x 2 3/4". It can be polished to give more contrast between the metals but some would find the patina more appealing.

The pendant is hung on a steel cable that is also delicate in width but strong as steel. The pendant measures 1 11/16" wide and 1 5/8" tall.
This handsome, sterling and sodalite cuff bracelet can be worn equally well by a man or woman. Graduated size oval stones are framed by triangular bands of silver. Hammer marks on the inside are evidence that it is totally hand fabricated. It measures 1 1/4" wide; inside diameter is 2 1/2" with an opening 1 1/16". The size can be modified a bit, either larger or smaller.
Interesting silver and enamel earrings by New York jewelry artist, Helen Hosking. Hosking's work has been in museum shows throughout the United States. These triangular earrings are particularly interesting because the enamel looks like inlaid stone. Measurements are 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/16" tall.
