This geometric quilt looks as though it would be a known pattern but I have been unable to locate another. I have given it a descriptive name but one would more accurately have to call it a Three and a Half Patch pattern. Setting it in strips with good use of lights and darks gives it lots of movement. Regardless of what one calls it, it is an interesting pattern made with beautiful fabrics that date from the 1850's to 1870's. There is some very light staining but the quilt has so much going on that it is not distracting. The fabrics are all strong and intact. Measurements are 95" x 96"; Pennsylvania origin.
