Alphabet quilts are a rare breed. When attempted, the maker often has difficulty getting the 26 letters to be placed symmetrically but the creator of this quilt found a good solution. She created star like blocks for the top and bottom corners making it all come out even. There is a quirky element, though, in that only the letter J has a period after it. What could that represent?
This quilt is in pristine condition. It has been professionally laundered. It is from Pennsylvania; circa 1920's. Measurements are 66" x 76".
