This wonderfully graphic Mennonite Tumbling Blocks quilt (aka Baby Blocks) is made of fine, light wool fabrics from the late 19th century. The colors are deep and rich - perhaps a tad lighter than on the screen. The corners are quilted with the medallion wreath patterns often seen in Lancaster County Amish quilts. The patterns throughout the rest of the border are unusual designs of leaves; flowers and berries. The quilt is in excellent condition. The backing is a printed polished cotton with a floral pattern. Measurements are 70" x 82". Lancaster County, Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880's.
