It is safe to say that this Lancaster County Amish Sunshine and Shadow quilt is the best of its type. The colors are the rich jewel tones that are most sought after. Exactly the right amount of red is well placed to make the colors "pop". The quilting is finely done with traditional feathering in the outer border. Condition is as pristine as the day it was made more than 100 years ago. The quilt is made of fine wools on both front and back. The letter R is cross stitched on a back corner.
The quilt measures 73 inches square. Made circa 1910; Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
