$485. for the pair
This is an elegant pair of sterling silver master salt dishes by William Spratling.
The dishes are 2 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. Hand hammer marks show within the bottom of the bowls. All else is a smooth finish.
The salts have Spratling's circular imprint used from 1933 - 1939. One dish has several small indentations that may be hammer marks from the original construction rather than damage. The salts are priced at $485. for the pair.
William Spratling is well known as the father of the mid 20th century silver design movement in Mexico. Books have been written about him and his work is represented in numerous museums across the United States.
