RARE and Amazing Matched VICTORIAN Pair of ENAMEL Vases with MIRROR Decoration and Original Labels, circa late 1800s!!! I find it incredible that this pieces, as old as they are still have the original labels attached to them. I have taken a close up photo of them for you. The 1 with the most writing has the word "Pair" on the corner. Also has 2 initials in the center that look like "C" and "L", done in cursive. On the other label I think I see the word "Rose". They also have numbers. I have been researching this pieces for a few weeks now, and the best description came from an European Art Glass dealer here on Trocadero who wrote to me. This is an excerpt from the letter he sent to me:

"Based on form and color I would say they are English…either Webb or Stevens and Williams. Either maker would carry the same value and desirability in the market, so a lack of exact attribution should not hurt the value. They are hand painted to mimic the ACB (Acid Cut Back) Cameo glass by these makers"

So this 2 pieces could be Thomas Webb & Sons or Stevens and Williams!!! The details of the enamel work are really Fantastic! The person who did the painted brush work was truly masterful at his job. I have looked and researched other similar pieces, but most pieces I find are with single flowers and little extras. For example I have not seen a single pieces with the double lines at the rim + the filigree type decoration added. Also it looks like there are 4 different plants depicted, one with a large Flower in the middle, another plant with smaller Orchid type flowers going up to the neck of the vase, another set of branches with Fern type decoration that frame the edges, as well as a large Elephant Ear plant, of which there is 1 leaf showing. The Enamel itself looks to be all there, with no losses. The bottom of the pieces also have 2 lines around, just like the top rim. Believe they have called this Florentine Glass and "Faux" Cameo. They were very well kept by the previous owner. There is NO damage that I can detect. In EXCELLENT Condition!!!

They measures 8" tall (20.32 cm) x 4 1/2" wide (11.43 cm) .… International Buyers WELCOMED!!! ........ Questions? Don’t hesitate to ask!
