An early pair of vintage Mexican silver and turquoise chandelier earrings from the Mazahua people. This wonderful pair were part of my personal collection. Many years ago, while living in Mexico, I worked with the Mazahua silversmiths to create a line of jewelry. This pair of earrings were made for me by one of the artisans. They are lovely, longer, worked by hand using time honored silversmith traditions of the region. As you can see, the doves are in the style of the earlier, more cherubic doves. They are perfectly weighted ~ light enough to be easy on the ear, heavy enough to create perfect movement and cascade. Really wonderful.
