A lovely, quite rare vintage Mexican silver and turquoise bracelet. Mexico City, ca. 1930s. So many lovely, vintage Mexican silver bracelet designs hail from Mexico City. All of them, as here, are of delightful, often wide, complex and sophisticated design ~ and so many of them despite their marvelous design and challenging construction will bear, as here, the humblest of hallmarks. This piece somewhat inspired by the shape and styles of the South West is a marvelous four part 'link' bracelet with hand made, multilayer, turquoise embellished flowers. This flower motif somewhat 'dances' around the center bow element. Thoughtfully structured to ensure beautiful articulation around the wrist with links that are gently bowed. One might anticipate such a design to be 'too' delicate, but that is not the case here. Instead, the design is bold, is forward leaning, and all so entirely pleasing to look at and to wear. In fine vintage condition, with a very early, two part lock. A rare gem.
