A lady's informal silk red-ground robe, changfu 19th century Circa: 1800 - 1840 The coral-red silk robe woven with three roundels on the front, three on the back and one on each sleeve, each roundel formed of 三 多 peach, Buddha's hand and pomegranate, each symbolized long life, many happiness and blessing, lot of children. 70 inches width x 54 inches long (178 cm width x 127 cm long) . Condition is fair for this period piece: some fading and a small stain, fraying in the silk lining, and a tear in the sleeve. Embroidery in perfect condition. This robe is from the estate of an important Asian Art collector.
