Redish earthenware jar with finger-track pattern, which is similar to 'Ongi' (Korean folk earthenware) as its origin, made by the Korean potters in Saga prefecture in Northwest part of Kyushu region, Japan, who were taken away by Imjin War (1592-1597) specially called "Ceramic War" or "Chawan War" in Japan for the historical background deeply related with tea ceremony (cha-no-yu). 17th century. In fine antique condition, with a crack from top rim as seen. approx. H 13.5 cm (5.31in)
