tailored with the waste pieces from cutting cloth given from the neighbors with wishing for smooth delivery, pregnancy, and vigorous growth.
Quite a flowery tailoring with silk crepe (chirimen) or tie-dyed cotton (shibori) as it's for such wishing, as it's not for the function. Meiji - Showa period, 19th - early 20th century.
In used condition with expected slight deterioration as seen. approx. L 124cm (48.81in)
