FOUR BUNDLES OF ASHINAKA
Particular half-sized 'waraji' Japanese straw sandals with cotton called 'Ashinaka', originally worn by samurai warrior for the use of war because of effective developing strong straddling and withstanding force with toe.
In the later years, Ashinaka were used by the people in fishing and agrarian villages, because of the superstition as pit vipers don't attack if wear it. Also, those were used for the special occasions like funeral or festival.
