Aged Japanese Buddhist stone sculpture of the two elements as upper gem-shaped 'Kurin' ("Space") and lower reclining half-moon shaped 'Furin' ("Wind") which is the topmost of 'Gorinto' (Five-element pagoda / ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorint%C5%8D) used for memorial or funerary purposes seen commonly in temples and cemeteries. Early Edo period, 17th-18th century.
