HIGHLY KOKESHI

Kokeshi is Japanese representative folk wooden doll as a toy for children (ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kokeshi), and here is an exceptionally unique and essential kokeshi handmade of a small milk-bottle (for its body) as the material which is deeply familier with the everyday life of ordinary Japanese people among old generation. Quite a miracle to be existed avoiding thrown away til today. Showa period, 20th century. approx. H 20.5cm (8.07in).
