THREE KANNON STONES
Set of three spontaneous Kannon (Guanyin)-shaped stones called ‘Sugata-ishi’ of diabase stones as a type of art of Japanese ‘Suiseki’ of ‘Kamuy kotan seki’ (kamuy kotan stones) from the canyon called ‘Kamuy-kotan’ (‘Whereabouts of God’ in the Ainu language) in the western part of Asahikawa city in Hokkaido, Japan. Sacred abstract figures of the god (‘Kamuy’=’Kami’) with no processing by human hands. Attached with wooden stands carved for such natural form of the bottom for its stability.
