LAYERED WOOD VASE

Vintage modern jar made of circumferential layers of many thin wooden board coated in the coloring of pale emerald blue, as a unique evolutionary form (style) of traditional Japanese steam bending wood craft called 'magewappa' (lit. 'bent-woodware'), Showa period, 20th century, Japan, approx. H 18cm (7.08in). The condition is as is as seen. Required to put 'otoshi' (inner container for flower arrangement) into for preventing water leakage when use.
