Culture: Nayarit Origin: West Mexico Age: Ca. 300 B. C. - 300 A. D. Size: 5 1/2" in diameter by 2 3/4" in height Description: A beautifully drawn elegant small bowl divided into four quadrants. Each of the sections is outlined by a dark brown line filled in with orange and then another dark brown line which accentuates the center ornamentation made up of fine cross hatched delicate lines. The use of the four large design elements works to create four upside down triangles and a dark brown "X" in the center of the vessel. The entire vessel is nicely burnished. Great design with very fine brushwork!
