Description: A visually stunning example of Mimbres art at its best. The background slip is a pure white in color and the black mineral design stands out beautifully. The bowl has been professionally reassembled from approximately five original shards with crack lines covered over. The bowl also had a very small kill hole in the center which was filled in.
Known Provenance: Originally part of The Red Ellison Collection. It was excavated in the late 1950's to early 60's on a private ranch North East of Deming, New Mexico. The bowl is legal for private ownership under all current State and Federal Laws. A COA will be provided upon purchase.
