DESCRIPTION: A highly geometrically complex “helmet bowl”. The slip is a pale gray/white with the design elements painted in charcoal black. Design elements include checkerboards around the rim, swirling interlocking scrolls, and a quadrangular center area enclosing a diamond pattern. The fine-line work is excellent throughout. The vessel has approximately 5% professional restoration to a few small areas. A rare form and highly complex. The bowl is legal for private ownership under all current State and Federal laws. The best of the best.
