This group of 5 mounted spindle whorls on their original wooden stems is mounted on a metal base to form a striking sculptural artifact. The heavy metal base was custom designed and fabricated by an outstanding metal worker. When mounted on the base the overall height is 15”. The tallest center tool measures 13” when not mounted for display.
The metal base measures 4” in height by 4” in width by 2 1/2” in depth. The Pre-Columbian spindle whorls come from various ancient cultures of Mexico and South America. Whether collected for its beauty as a sculpture or a group of Pre-Columbian artifacts it is unique and visually outstanding.
