Unokubi zukuri form, the quenching line (hamon) in choji midare. The rocket is pierced with two ana mekugi. Nagasa: 29.5 cm. Signed: Hoki Kuni Ju Hiroyoshi Saku. Late 16th century. Magnificent scabbard (saya) is red lacquered and streaked. Mounted with kogai and kozuka, fuchi, kashira, habaki and kojiri (accessories) in chiseled silver. Total length 44.5 cm.
