Song Dynasty (960-1279) Jizhou tortoiseshell glazed bowl with conical side rounding up towards the rim.

The body is covered with a rich dark brown glaze splashed in translucent golden glaze.
From Japanese private collection. Overall, it is an excellent example of Jizhou ware which imitates the mottled tortoiseshell.

Chinese Late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Gosu Akae Kokutani Kogo (Incense Container).
Very popular among Japanese high society, it was exported from China to Japan in the early Edo period (1603-1868).
