Impressive press moulded Kaki glaze bottle with Nukie decoration made by Hamada Shinsaku around 1990-1991.

Born in 1929 as second son of Hamada Shoji, Hamada Shinsaku continued the family tradition of the world recognized Mashiko pottery.
He worked and traveled closely with his father and took over the famous kiln in Mashiko in 1978. Shinsaku Hamada pottery is exhibited in numerous museums around the world.

Henko vase (oblong) is the Japanese term used to describe the vases with different length and width and it is considered with higher rating compared to regular proportional objects.
