A lovely Georgian gold pendant that has a blue glass cabochon and design work on the gold that shows through. On top of the glass a sentimental Forget me Not design set with tiny rose cut diamonds. Natural half pearls surround it with and additional wired tiny seed pearl surround. It is high carat gold, but unmarked for metal content as was typical of the era (late 1700s) but it's more than 14kt.
The pendant has a beautiful layered effect and measures just over 1" x 3/4". I have had this lovely treasure in my sentimental mourning antique jewelry collection for many years but only wore it one time. Even though all of the diamonds are prong set down into the silver design, one of them came out and was never found, so one diamond is amiss. So a really good opportunity for someone who wants an early jewel at less than half the value or more if it were 'perfect'.
