Lovely, early doll by Simon and Halbig, she is a mold 950 but with a face almost identical to the 949. She has a full, round Belton (French fashion) head without any hairlines, cracks or chips, early shoulder plate with set spiral blue glass eyes, outlined and painted lashes, feathers brows, rosy cheeks and closed mouth with a little upturned smile.
Her early kid body has lower bisque arms with no chipped fingers. Overall she is in very good antique condition with a few patches to her leather body and some tiny wear around the earring holes from her original blue glass earrings.
She is wearing a pretty antique swiss dot dress trimmed in laces, retains her her original undergarments with black socks and older white shoes. Her mohair wig in the Gretel style with little ringlets that frame her face nicely. She displays beautifully with an endearing, sweet lady look, and measures about 18” tall. The back of her head is marked S 7 H 950.
