Fabulous pair of early Rousselet long faux pearl earrings made of glass, they are set into a patina silver tone metal unmarked for content, signed Made in France with his initials on the reverse. They are a nice long length of not quite 2” with a big glass pearl on the top, small glass pearls dropping from it to a larger glass pearl with metal pin in place on bottom.
They are in very good vintage condition without any of the coating missing and just very minimal wear to one of the drop pearls. The Rousselet family were jewelry makers in France for several decades but as this jewel includes his initials, I am dating it circa 1940s. Based on the backs of the jewels, we could attribute them to Rousselet even without his signature; however, it is always nice have them generally they are not included. These lovely French earrings are still very fashionable today and classic style is such that they adapt easily from office wear to an evening out.
