Such a pretty girl! She is an early 22' French bebe by Fleischmann and Bloedel on her original early composition body. Her adorable face has the Asian type brown glass eyes with lots of painted lashes and mutli-stroke eyebrows that looks similar to an Eden Bebe but her little heart shaped mouth with just a little bit of her tongue sticking out under her teeth is totally unique. So, she would have been a transitional doll, before their Eden and rare. The shape and numbering of her bisque head is exactly what we find for Fleischmann and Bloedel, numbered 4 on the back of her low cut French head. She is wearing a pretty floral printed dress with sheer bib and collar. Vintage cream knit socks and shoes. She has a nice dark wig loosely curled that works nicely with her complexion. The eyes are set and she as the original little tongue that shows through nicely on her cute smile. The head is on the original long thigh French body that has minimal wear, mostly just around the knee joints. Her hands appear to be original however it appears the fingers have been repaired and repainted. She is strung well enough and holds a pose fine. Her stringing is not too tight or loose. The bisque head is in lovely but there are two small professional repairs done of either side. The hairlines possibly happened during the firing caused by the kiln; something that was commonplace with this particular manufacturer. They are on the very top and can only be seen if lighted. Her eyes and brows are similar to an Eden but her chubby cheeks and heart shaped open mouth are unique to her, so I would say she was a bebe that transitioned to an Eden. Fleischmann and Bloedel are known for making the Eden bebes but also Fleishmann who took over the SFBJ factory sometime after Jumeau started the conglomeration of joining doll firms and made the first Bleuette and all the successive ones. The bebe has had a bath, along with all of her clothing which has been hand washed as well. She has successfully passed all tests and is ready for play or display. * Please contact me for more photos or layaway options.
