This early artist bisque French fashion doll was made about 40 years ago but she is still just as beautiful today. She has a lovely hand painted bisque head, a tiny upturned smile with sparkling blue glass set eyes under the nicely feathered brows. The head is set onto a bisque shoulder-plate so her head can tilt and move from side to side. It's on a cotton stuffed body with lower bisque arms and hands and lower bisque legs.
She wears a a nicely done antique style blue and white pin stripped jacket coat with matching skirt in white piping along the edges and down the top back white goes out to a fuller French fashion length. A big black bow on the back which matches nicely with the black ribbon around sweet artist made black bonnet with tulle lace. Underneath she has a full slip, pantaloons, a 4 ruffled layered bustle, lace nylons and brown shoes.
Under the hat, a nice wig of wavy strawberry blond soft mohair hair. She is in very good vintage condition with just some fading to the fabric of the dress. She is a nice big size for the French Fashion being at about 20” tall without her hat. She is a one of a kind artist antique reproduction doll, not massed produced. Signed on the back of her neck by the artist and dated early 1980s. She has had a bath, along with all of her clothing and wig I have cleaned, so she is ready for play or display.
