She is a sweet girl with pretty blue glass set eyes, lots of painted lashes, single stroke eyebrows, blushing cheeks with an open mouth showing four little teeth and a little dimple on her chin. The bisque head is on the typical 5 piece bodies with unfinished center, common for German mignonettes. It is in good condition without any breaks or repairs, including the painted black socks and orange painted shoes.
She wears a beautiful ecru raw silk dress with little ruched bodice, trimmed in antique lace like a shawl around the collar and sleeves, the same is ruffled underneath the dress, with a velvet green bow in the front. Under it, very nice antique style slip trimmed in little lace with matching pantaloons topped off with little pink bows. Her wig is a strawberry blond curled tussle on the top of her head and maybe original to her. The wig is glued is very well glued on, so I could not light the head, but from what I can see and feel from the outside, she is without hairlines, or cracks or damage.
The back on her head DEP 9/0 and under that an X, which is typical for early Fleishmann and Bleodel. She measures about 9” high, 10" if including the wig. She is in overall good condition but previously her arms were glued into place, so they do not move. Her head and legs move fine. And she has a tiny cheek rub on her right. I have hand wiped all of her off with soap and water but I have not undressed or taken off the wig, which is firmly glued down, it has the original setting with a few old bobby pins. She is a real cutie! I would assume her to be made in the late 1800s.
