She is a beautiful OOAK artist doll of the Portrait Jumeau Lady. She has a serene, sweet expression. The bisque head is on a bisque breast plate so it can swivel from side to side. It is tied/sewn onto a leatherette antique style body that bends at the elbows, buttocks and knees sewn like the antique leather bodies. =Her lower bisque arms have wire apertures inside so they can be bent and posed in a variety of ways; legs are stuffed and without any wire.
Her French country style outfit consists of a semi-sheer antique dress with tiny dot print. Lots of crocheted lace trim including a lace snood that can easily be worn as a collar or tied and buttoned about the waist if no hood is desired. Under the dress she wears a half cotton slip trimmed in antique eyelet with pink ribbon and matching pantaloons trimmed in a tiny lace, also with pink ribbon trim; cream lace socks and leatherette antique style shoes.
Her bisque head is topped with a synthetic wig with an abundance of ringlets in a honey brown color. Then the lace snood type bonnet over that. She is in very good to excellent vintage condition without any hairlines, cracks or breaks. She was very nicely rendered by the artist with a soft expression and sky blue glass set eyes. She is an excellent representation of the antique when compared. She measures about 19” not including the wig and lace cap. She has had a bath, as well as her wig I have wiped off with soap and water and all of her clothing has been hand washed and steam pressed so she is ready for play or display. Initialed by the artist on the back of her head with the date of 1990.
