This is a very early Maki print . He did it no later than 1966 it depicts many cells of a human all done very explicitly and clearly
Cell was an early Maki theme He used it less than a dozen times the cells must have been busy re-creating themselves But here they seem calm and static Embossed z

rare Japan Haku Maki Emanation 70 this is part of the long Emanation series I believe Maki did this series all in 1967 Maybe a few went into 1968 they show how many different prints this extraordinary artist produced in his life especially in 1967 this is highly abstract it may be a kanji for Heart in black and white on a yellow background single ply `paper suggesting Maki did this print early in the Emanation series
