this is a Strange object an owl flute .tiv tribe ,supposed to be a voice disguiser but this one has no hole in the bone to make a flute i like the Strange aspect of it which makes it a curiosity object Some references in yale archives show the same type of object Magic occupies an important place in Tiv's life, and in magic, the imborivungu rivungu flute-owl is an object that deserves special attention. Its origin is related to the mythical story of Poor, an ancestor Tiv. According to legend, Poor died without descendants. To perpetuate his memory, his brothers imagined to take a femur of the deceased, to place it in a basket (adudu) forbidding anyone to look at this relic. this one has a sculpted wooden head with glass eyes ,no more hair some necklaces of glass beads into wax ,strong and powerful expression.ex coll wilquet Belgium reputadly bought to maine durieu but i cannot check that information
