A Chinese very pale jade plaque and a belt hook mounted as a mirror...

A Chinese mirror mounted with an 19 century jade ruyi head plaque on the back and a belt hook as a handle.The former is finely carved with precious objects; the canopy, fish, vase of flowers, lotus and endless knot, the handle shows a dragon with lingzhi facing the chilong. The mount is gilt silver and stamped "silver", the stones are of translucent pale celadon grey of even hue. Age: the stone : 19C., the mount: early 20C. size: overall length: 7 1/2 inches ( 18cm)...

An interesting Chinese agate of two conjoined snuff bottles. The stone is translucent greyish with a few darker hints, it is very well hollowed and in excellent condition. Age: 19 C. size: 2 inches (5cm) high

An unusual Chinese amethyst covered vase, carved with squirrel amongst fruiting vines ,with the sides showing bunches of grapes. The cover is carved in detail with a laughing, mischievous boy holding some of the fruit. The vase stands on a separate base which is formed to resemble a rock. A Chinese 19 C. pearl shell beautifully pierced and carved with a dragon coiled all around. Its natural form and luminous surface with fine carving makes this object a joy to behold. age; 19 C. size: 18 cm. condition; very good indeed, no restoration, no breaks.

A Chinese silver vase with elaborate handles and decorated in repousse work with a phoenix on a hammered ground and the sides showing flowers and foliage, the back with a plain shield. Size: 23 cm high. weight ; 8 1/4 oz. two maker's stamps in Chinese characters on the base. It reads YUAN BEI which was an artisan workshop in Tianjin. The middle set of marks reads"wen yen" meaning "cash silver" and indicating a standard similar to Sterling...

A Chinese lady's belt made of 16 mother of pearl discs each mounted with alternate appliques of butterfly and auspicious Chinese characters. One of the two end gilt silver clasps which are decorated with enamel characters is stamped "90" followed by characters. The quality of the multicolor enamel work as seen in the butterflies, is superb. size: 70 cm long. age: C. 1900. condition: One butterfly is missing and one disc has part of the Chinese character missing.

A Chinese buffalo horn box, the front and back panels carved deeply with writhing dragons and the sides with auspicious characters. The cover shows two confronting dragons.The quality of the carving and the condition of the box are excellent; there are a small hole in the centre of the base and one in the cover...

A pair of fine Chinese coconut cups lined and mounted with silver. The body is carved in detail with "shou" symbols, precious objects, ribbons, prunus flowers etc. all against a ground of geometrical pattern.The base stamped with Chinese characters. Very desirable items,they date to 18/19 C. size: 8.2cm diameter. condition: the coconuts undamaged in very good condition, the silver with some dark spots which are easily removable and several superficial depressions ...

A Chinese coral figure of a standing maiden in an elaborate and floating robe holding a basket of flowers. Rendered with great competence and detail, it is a very attractive composition. The coral is of pinkish hue with occasional white spots. age; C. 1910. size: 17.5 cm high including the fixed wood stand. condition; very good, no restoration, no breaks. there are natural tubules to the back.

A fantastic Chinese silver caddy of hexagonal shape, applied with a profusion of enameled birds perched on foliage and flowers, all against a filigree ground . Studs of turquoise and coral further enhance the opulence of this extravaganza. Stamped SILVER on the base. Age: first quarter of 20 C. size: 6 9/10 inches (17.5 cm ) high. condition: Excellent, it appears untouched, unpolished and unused for a long time, thus remaining in pristine and undamaged state.

A Chinese jade plaque 17/18 C. very finely carved and pierced with precious objects e.g the canopy, endless knot etc.This reticulated example with its breathtaking virtuosity and delicate , meticulous detail is a fine example of earlier Chinese lapidary art. The stone is of greyish celadon hue with spots of whitish clouds and is set on the back of a hand mirror in a frame of gilt silver which is worked with a ground of filigree and multi colour enamel decoration...

A Chinese jade oval bowl carved in the Mughal style with lobes forming the body , the base with three concentric zones showing leaves and encircling a central flower. The body is thinly carved , the stone is of mottled pale celadon tone. A competently executed example, it measures 2 cm wide, in excellent condition, no breaks no restoration and dating to late Qing period.

A Chinese box of grey celadon jade and rectangular shape with rounded corners. The body is very thinly carved , resembling the Mughal manner and the cover is delicately incised with a bird in a tree. Elegant in its simplicity and precision, it typifies the 18 C. lapidary art on small jade objects. Age: 18 C. size: 2 7/10 inches x 1 7/10 inches x 3/5 inch high when closed. ( 6.6 cm x 4.5 cm x 1.5cm high when closed.

A Chinese jade carved as a gourd with trailing foliage. The stone is of mottled celadon hue and the carving is well detailed and tactile. age: 19 C. SIZE: 1 6/8 INCHES X 1 1/2 INCHES X 6/8 INCHES thickness. ( 4.5cm x 4 x 2.3 thickness). Condition: excellent, no damage.

A Chinese jade carving of a mythical beast and cob on its back. The stone is of medium celadon hue with a few darker spots as seen in the images, the quality of the carving is fine and detailed, especially in the head area. Images 4,5,6 show the closest colour match to the actual carving. size: 3 inches ( 8 cm ) maximum length. age: 19 C. condition; excellent, natural stone flaws on the underside of the animal.

A Chinese jade libation cup of pale green hue with a flash of russet, carved in the shape of a peach and standing on a five petal support. The outside has scrolling foliage and the handle is formed as a flower spray with a flat reticulated top surface. An excellent example of 16/17 century lapidary art and in excellent condition. It comes with its own custom made wooden stand. size: 10 cm long

A highly desirable Chinese jade coup, shaped as a lotus leaf with flower blossoms decorating the handle and body. The stone is of an even tone with a slight hint of russet. This is a very attractive composition of the "caged" style and measures 5 1/2inches ( 14 cm) wide. In excellent condition. Age: Ming 17 C.
