Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) Woodblock Print, Japan, A Japanese Shin hanga print by Tsuchiya Koitsu entitled Tokaido Yaizunohara ( TK-DH-20) Shin-hanga (新版画, lit. "new prints", "new woodcut (block) prints") was an art movement in early 20th-century Japan, during the Taishō and Shōwa periods, that revitalized traditional ukiyo-e art rooted in the Edo and Meiji periods (17th–19th century). publisher's seal by Doi Hangaten, oban tate-e, 16 3/4 x 11 3/8 in. Date: c1940 ( early postwar) condition: margins intact, not adhered to backing, glue residue to back side edge, slight dog ear to top left margin corner. Color is fantastic!
