A Chinese Qing Dynasty Fertility Charm ---This was worn as a talisman for fertility, easy childbirth and hopes for a male child. Two pomegranates at the top of talisman symbolic of fertility The figure holds a small silver cup in each hand symbolic to receive blessings from Quan Yin, (Guanyin) the goddess of mercy and the Goddess of fecundity. She is surnamed Sung-Tzu-Niang-Niang, "lady who brings children." The chain is adorned with silver bells, coral and turquoise. Dimensions: Chain Length: 28 inches Talisman: 5 X 3.5 inches NOTE: This piece comes with a custom acrylic stand (photograph included). The front and top of the stand slides off to allow handling. It has been removed for the purpose of the photograph.
