We found this black and white poster that featured Saddam Hussein in China, while searching for Chinese political propaganda posters. We were able to obtain information from a very helpful person who responded our online request regarding the background of this poster and this is his description of this poster:
"The picture of the man next to Saddam's is of Ahmed Hasan Al Bakir. He was president of Iraq from 1968 to 1979. During that period Saddam was Vice Persident. Both Saddam and Al Bakir are relatives - from the same town of Tikrit.
The poster shown on the site is one of a group of photos taken in the early 1970s on the anniversary of the 1968 coup which brought them to power.
The pictures were taken in a well known studio in Baghdad, called Babel, as part of the day to day propeganda during that period."
It is likely a propaganda poster from Iraq that was brought back through Chinese businesses who had operations in Iraq.
