Claude Conlin (1880-1954) of Alexandria South Dakota, known as "Alexander The Man Who Knows" was an American who performed wearing a turban for exotic effect. He was a very colorful individual and great showman. In this circa 1915 original vintage poster, we see Alexander's turbaned head in a question mark. From all accounts, Alexander was a colorful character who knew how to market himself.
The poster is linen backed, measures 28" x 41," and in excellent condition with a 1-1/2" restored crack to the left of the letter A. The printing in the lower right corner says,"Ay Yaga Bombay, which may represent the lithographic printer.
