Offered for sale is this pair hibachi made of kiri wood (paulownia) with maki-e and MOP accents. The liners are copper and the pair hibachi come with their original wood storage box (the box's lift out front panel is missing a horizontal finger bar). The hibachi, charcoal braziers, are in overall very good condition with some minor loss of MOP and few stress lines in the lacquer. Dates first quarter of the 20th century or earlier.
