Welcome To Another Century has been specializing in Japanese works of art for almost 30 years. We focus on the arts related to Buddhism on the one hand and mingei on the other.
We are buying and selling ceramics, painting, lacquer work, netsuke, sculpture and mingei from the Edo period to the present. Apart from Japanese works of art, we do offer some Buddhist art from China and other Asian countries. We enjoy doing research on historical and material backgrounds of pieces, so we can pass on as much information to you as possible.

If you do not find what you are looking for, feel free to contact us. We may have objects in stock, that are not (yet) in our catalogue. If you have any questions, we will be happy to hear from you.
Sales policy
Shipping - The listed prices do not include shipping costs. Shipping- and insurance charges will be determined at close of sale. Shipment follows as soon as payment has cleared. We send objects by US Postal Service, Fedex, UPS or your shipper of choice.
Method of payment - We accept personal checks (please, understand that we hold an object until check cleared), money orders and wire transfers. Buyer carries all bank charges.
Guarantee - Although we strive to give you accurate information about our objects, we are aware that errors may occur. We appreciate your different opinion on objects. All objects are sold as represented. On request, we shall give you a precise condition report. If you are not content with an item after it has been received and you wish to return it, please inform us on forehand. Items must arrive in original state as sent, well packed and insured. We will refund you upon receipt. Shipping charges will not be refunded.
Damage - Should an object get damaged during shipping, we will refund you upon return of the damaged object. Partial refunds or restoration refunds are not possible.
