Round stoneware deep dish or bowl with four indentations giving it a square characteristic. Light pinkish brown glaze with underglaze iron oxide decoration, depicting long-stemmed flowers and x marks, over a dark coarse stone ware. E-karatsu. Japan, 18th -19th century.

One 0.5 inch fritting area and various tiny glaze dings on rim, otherwise very good condition
