Up for your consideration, is this antique Chinese Sterling Silver creamer and sugar bowl.
It is made in Canton in the early 1900's, by master silversmith Kan Mao Hsing, also known as Tu Mao Xing. It is hallmarked on the base of each piece in Chinese Characters. I have seen this mark used by Kan Mao Hsing, also similar hand hammering techniques, and overlay.
It has bamboo style handles, and is decorated with large applied tree roots entwined with Prunus blossoms and and a bird on the creamer. It is made with heavy gauge silver, it weighs a total of 337 grams. It has an overall hand hammered finish. The sugar bowl measures 5 ¼ inches handle to handle wide, and stands 2 ½ inches tall x 3 ½ inches deep, the creamer jug measures 4 inches wide with the handle x 3 inches tall x 2 ½ inches deep. In good condition, no repairs.
