Up for sale, is this Vintage Antique matching pair of bracelets, large arm cuff size.
They each have a partial hallmark which I have photographed. Marked SIAM STERLING. They have a heavy GOLD plate on them. Each depict a Buddhist Goddess, this could be Mekkala, Goddess of Lightning. With hands together, she has swirling flames, from under her arms and swirl around the sides of the bracelet. It is hand constructed, with repousse, and hand chasing. It has a silver sheet lining, that is smooth and also gold gilt, a hole inside near the mark, important for the making of the bracelet. They were made before 1948, when they changed the name of the country Siam to Thailand.
They are both in good condition, and have a combined weight of 64 grams or 2.2 oz. They are 2 inches wide. I wrapped a piece of paper around the bracelet, and measured that, 5 ½ inches long, with a 1 ½ inch gap. They fit a medium /small wrist.
